For players who want to get their hands on Pokémon TCG’s latest set, Prismatic Evolutions, they likely have been combated by scalpers trying to get their hands on the most valuable cards. It can be a problem for any card game, but the problem gets worse when there are high-value cards that everyone wants involved. This set featured some very rare variants of two popular Eevee evolutions, making it a prime candidate for both collectors and players to buy up packs as fast as they can. However, this problem is not going to go away anytime soon.
There are a lot of good cards in Prismatic Evolutions, and it is a particularly desired set due to the focus. Eevee and its evolutions are some of the most popular Pokémon in the franchise, not just the TCG, and a lot of people collect them for those reasons. Additionally, the popularity alone would make the set valuable, but add in some of the other factors like the Special Illustration Rares and the scalper problem grows worse. With the latest announcement that is not expected to change, and it may even get worse.
Pokémon TCG Prismatic Evolutions Figure Collection Is Coming Soon
A Collector's Box Coming Later This Year Featuring Eevee
As reported by Crown Zenith set in Pokémon TCG had two different Figure boxes, one for each of the ex Pokémon.

12 Pokémon TCG Trick Or Trade Cards Worth The Most Money
The Pokémon TCG’s Trick or Trade BOOster pack cards hold little value now, but certain ones may have potential to become pricey in the future.
While we don’t know many of the specifics, we do know a couple of things about this box. Most importantly, this collection will be released on September 26, giving players a little bit of time to prepare. It is not yet known when preorders will be allowed, but players will want to check with their local stores if they have their eye on one, as scalpers will likely be picking these up for one big reason. The second bit of information known is that these boxes will be coming with the two most expensive cards in the Prismatic Evolutions set.
Prismatic Evolutions Figure Collection Features Umbreon ex & Espeon ex
A Box With Not One But Two Versions Of The New Eevee Evolutions
The collection will feature both Umbreon ex and Espeon ex - both in figure form and as a promo card. Now, it most likely will not be the Special Illustration Rare that costs so much right now, so no long-term investment in those cards is likely to go away. In fact, with these cards likely to have a stamp or a different form of alternate art, it is more likely that people will just have two more cards they need to add to their collection.
The collection is also coming with two figures of both Pokémon. This alone is enough for everyone to want to pick these up. The figures are a big part of why people like these types of collection boxes. Whether it's to put on a neat shelf or to bring to the next tournament as a flex, the figures are just as collectible as anything else in the box. With the figure being a version of Eevee, that value is likely to increase even more.
Cards & Figures Will Only Make Pokémon TCG's Scalping Problem Worse
Collecting Prismatic Evolutions Will Not Get Any Easier
The problem with Prismatic Evolutions has been clear from the day it was released, with stores having extra security and some even refusing to stock the product at all. This led to scalpers getting as much of the product as they could, driving the prices of the chase cards even higher. The big chase cards revolve around those two Special Illustration Rares, making any chance of pulling them a big deal. It means that just the presence of extra booster packs in the Figure Collection will have people wanting to pick them up.
But that isn’t the only issue with this collection. With both highly collectible figures of popular Pokémon and some version of both ex cards, it is going to be hard for players to get their hands on them. While it is not yet known if it will be one box with both ex cards or if players will have to choose like they did with the Crown Zenith collection, either way, it is a chance for players to get their hands on the ex cards.
Also, unknown is exactly what kind of art will be on the card, although it seems probable that it will not be the Special Illustration Rares. However, past versions of these boxes have typically featured the regular ex cards with a stamp or the regular ex card with alternate art. This is likely to be the case with this collection as well, giving players a different version of both Umbreon ex and Espeon ex to add to their collection. If that is the case, scalpers are likely to buy these up to, knowing that the price will likely increase for selling the singles.

The Most Valuable Pokémon TCG Journey Together Card Shouldn't Exist
The Pokémon TCG Journey Together set just released in Japan, and its most expensive card is actually one that wasn't ever meant to be real.
Past Figure Collections are selling from around $9,70 for Arceus V to $319.99, and those are the ones that are still in stock. Scalpers are likely to pick this up for that very reason. However, the figures should also be added to the equation. These are also big collection items, and many players are looking to get their hands on them. With these being extremely popular Pokémon, this is going to factor into the collection being hard to get.
Alternatively, this Figure Collection will be coming out in September, after there will be at least one release, Journey Together, as well as a potential second release. The Glory of Team Rocket is releasing in Japan this spring, so it may make its way to the US by the time or shortly after the Figure Collection drops. While it won’t reduce the popularity of Eevee, it might turn scalpers focus elsewhere. Either way, players should be keen to get in their pre-orders for the Prismatic Evolutions Figure Collection in Pokémon TCG as soon as possible.
