Space-Time Smackdown. Now, an official announcement has revealed the first details about the next set.
The new set, titled Celestial Guardians, will feature Pokémon that first appeared in Pokémon Sun and Moon, previous set, Shining Revelry, officially added regional Pokémon forms, but this set should also include all 18 Alolan regional Pokémon as well. The new set will feature the first-ever Immersive Trainer card, featuring Lillie, one of the protagonists from Pokémon Sun and Moon. Celestial Guardians will be released on April 29.
What We Know About Pokémon TCG Pocket's A3 Set So Far
Set Will Feature Legendary Pokemon Solgaleo And Lunala
Details about the new set are relatively scarce, although we do know some of the new cards that will appear in the new set. In addition to Solgaleo ex, Lunala ex, and Alolan Raichu ex, the set will also feature a powerful new Item card that could have a massive impact on Pokémon TCG Pocket.
The new Rare Candy card allows players to evolve a Basic Pokémon straight into a Stage 2 Pokémon, provided the Basic Pokémon card wasn't put into play on that turn. This could make cards like Solgaleo ex and Lunala ex a lot more viable in gameplay as players can potentially skip an evolutionary step to get them into play faster.

Pokémon TCG Pocket's 10 Most Gorgeous Shining Revelry Cards
The most dazzling new cards from Pokémon TCG Pocket’s Shining Revelry expansion feature stunning artwork, making them great collectibles for any deck.
We know that, as a full set, Celestial Guardians will have a card list of similar size to Space-Time Smackdown. No new gimmicks for the set have been revealed yet, although one possibility is that the Ultra Beasts (powerful Pokémon that originally came from another dimension) will receive some kind of focus either in this set or a subset like Triumphant Light. The new set will contain over 200 cards and will have two distinct booster packs, one featuring Lunala and the other featuring Solgaleo.
Our Take: A Fun Spotlight On An Unheralded Pokémon Game
It's Pokémon Sun And Moon's Time To Shine
Pokémon Sun and Moon (and its follow-ups Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon) were great Pokémon games that were bogged down by the Nintendo 3DS's limited capabilities. With a rich and vibrant setting, amazing Pokémon designs, and fantastic characters, the games were a great capstone to the 3DS era of Pokémon games. Personally, I'm stoked to see the games get a spotlight in Pokémon TCG Pocket and I can't wait to see what wild new decks come out of the new game.
