I like the pacing just fine, just as what the writer said, the setting of the story is suitable with how Jinshi and Maomao interact with each other. Let Jinshi cook some tricks and plot some schemes just to get Maomao attention. I'm fine with how Maomao react to Jinshi interactions, because that's make who Maomao is and it's true to her character. I believe that what makes this story much more unique.
