See AllDoctor Who Season 15, Episode 5 Review: I Am Obsessed With Ncuti Gatwa's Performance As The Doctor In This Stunning & Well-Designed Episode
"Narratively, it doesn't make sense for the Fugitive Doctor to make a cameo"... A lot more does not make sense in this episode, it seems to me that I have watched a different episode from the reviewed one in this article. It took me a lot of time to get into the plot, it didn't make much sense if not aware of ALL Dr Who lore, too long inside the barber shop for budgetary reasons, I felt so awfully bored and uninterested at the end that I didn't care enough for the people inside the barber shop to be saved... including the Doctor! The attempt to connect ethnically the doctor with the location seems far-fetched and misplaced... What will happen with all this bonding with his fellow African friends when the next reincarnation brings another Caucasian doctor? Terrible attempt to gain audience, regrettable and desperate stuff.
This episode isn't one of the best of this series.
