See AllEvery Star Wars Backlash I've Ever Seen Has Really Been About The Same Thing
Anyone who elevates the importance of implementing sex and race equality into a story in order to be inclusive really ends up creating the opposite effect. Why? It starts to feel like I'm watching a political discussion forum on the internet instead of a show. It's bad writing and a bad experience. The quality of the story and the depth of the characters is what is supposed to be paramount FIRST. If you can't do that, I don't care what the character is made out of. In the end, they failed Star Wars. I just want Star Wars. Discussions about race and sex is about to become synonymous with bad quality tv shows and movies and it is only Hollywood's fault. It's not that I'm not against it. I'm against in how it ends up being implemented. It makes it worse for everyone.
