It's been so long since I read these things that I don't have any clue about what's going on or who most of the POV characters are any more. I am not going to invest the time necessary to catch up, either. GRRM has shown nothing but contempt for readers of this series, going off and spending his time on a dozen other projects, some related, some not, so I am going to display equal contempt in not sending him one red cent more.

I never understood ol' Tom being in the middle of a desert and somehow having a willow tree located there that could only survive at river's edge (or in a much wetter climate, at best). Not to mention the talk of the 'river daughter' - THERE'S NO RIVER!
