See AllOne Rise Of Skywalker Scene Is So Much Better After Andor Season 2
Love this take. Andor is peak Star Wars but there's a lot I loved about TROS and definitely think it's underrated. Having ordinary people answer the call and save the day was a great way to end the trilogy. After finally hearing Nemick's manifesto at the end of season 1 AND season 2, both times I thought "This is EXACTLY what happens in TROS!" That moment at the end of the movie, and Anthony Daniels performance as C-3P0, made that movie for me. I think it was his best performance. He was GOLD! LITERALLY!
Even After 3 Years, I Still Can't Believe Disney's Luke Skywalker Was Absolutely Schooled By This Non-Jedi Star Wars Character
Luke would have wanted to study the Jedi ways before trying to start a new Jedi order. I believe the Jedi teaching on attachments is flawed and goes too far, but it's not surprising at all that Luke followed them. His attachment to Leia almost turned him to the dark side. His willingness to die, rather than fight, saved the galaxy. Din Djarin's Way, loyalty and solidarity, is, the Mandalorian Way, and it's a contrast to the Jedi way. Din Djarin is NOT giving us a better example of the Jedi path, he's giving us an example of a different path, the Mandalorian Way. Luke would have spent years studying the Jedi Way before launching a new Jedi order, his attachment to Leia almost turned him, his willingness to let go to the point of death saved him. His actions make perfect sense if you let go of YOUR personal attachment to how the story should have gone.
