There's not one entry here from the 60s or 70s, yet that twenty-year span had some of the best Batman stories. In The Brave and the Bold, Batman is knocked out by thugs and thrown down a well. He yells that he would give his soul to get out. A bucket is lowered down and he is pulled up. A gimpy old man reminds him that they have a deal and walks off into the darkness. Bruce Wayne then gets a visit by Sgt. Rock who's sure Hitler is still alive and is hunting for him. Rock has been hunting him for years. He recalls how he was almost court-martialed when he took shots at a ing car and said, "It's him!" Those 2 s cracked me up even as a kid. It's a fine thriller, and should be on anyone's list. You should get some of the classics. You would love them.
