I think it just goes over audience's heads. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Although I'm not familiar with it understand all the dialog, I completely get what he was putting down. My unfamiliarity further distanced me from the characters, enhancing the desired affect. These people are so far removed from humanity that we shouldn't relate or "get" them. That just made the satire so much more poignant for me. I'm with the critics on this one.
