Alexandria had been destroyed so maggie went to the bricks instead of commonwealth probably due to the fact that she still had it out for Negan despite how Rick and Michonne felt when they saved Negan the first time to keep him locked up forever which put Maggie somewhat at odds with them bc she still wanted Negan dead. But now has a change of heart bc she betrayed Negan in the worst way after he helped save her son twice! So she will most likely explain this to Rick and Michonne who will understand and who will help her.
