This is a beautiful film full of fantastical musical numbers, stunning visuals & a heart-warming message. Folks watching it online will no doubt regret not seeing it on the big screen with surround sound.

I was asked to be in a play back in Feb. '83 by a friend/director who was having trouble casting a part. I told him I'd do it on one condition: that we not have a rehearsal on the night that had been announced as MASH's finale. He agreed & we had a big cast & crew watch party instead. The film only covers Robbie's career up to 2003 at Knebworth. Many yrs later, he did make amends with Gary Barlow & all the Take That guys, record a very successful album with them again with everyone writing it, & 1 extremely lucrative tour with them. In subsequent yrs, he has brought his dad on stage to sing standards with him, but at a much older age.

I don't think anyone re this, but People Magazine gave away the ending a week before in their cover story on Alan Alda. There was a small photo of Henry in the article & the line below it said Henry would die. I recall calling my best high school pal & crying to her about it.

At 50, Robbie Williams is hardly in the "twilight" of his career! Who wrote this, a 20-yr-old? This is a wonderful film that has not only gotten rave reviews from critics, but also from audiences who've actually seen it. I see it doing a lot better streaming, altho I've no idea how the investors profit from that. Many have said that it's sure to turn into a cult classic, it's that good!

It's a truly brilliant film - everyone should experience it on the big screen! Btw, the film only covers events in his life up to 2003 (not '09). The iconic Knebworth concerts came after the Royal Albert Hall performance. The movie switches them as it does with the timeline of other things, too.

Never once did I consider Jerry a villain. I've always realized that there are things going on in these people's lives to which the public will never be privy. If anyone should apologize (& profusely) to Jerry, it's those individuals who presumed to know the whole story & went so far as to harass, smear & bully him online.
