See AllDefying Gravity Explained: The Elphaba Song's Full Lyrics & What It Really Means In Wicked
What an amazing article. Haven't seen Wicked yet. Come by it as diagnosed at tender age of 72 with Complex PTSD. In other words, the trauma was on-going, first at home and with every subsequent relationship. Cruel, violent, ivie-agreesive. Am a member of TSD Foundation. A wise woman by the name of Nadine posted about how Elphaba's song spoke to her. Victims of abuse, childhood or DV partners have brains that taught us to not have agency, to believe we are nothing. Am sure it is similiar to the lack of self-esteem endured by those mentioned in the article: Elphaba's words send a message to of the LQBTQ+ community, the disabled community, immigrants, underdogs, or anyone else who fits within the category of "other." Thank you Angel Shaw for writing this insightful article. For seeing with your heart and soul. Going to see "Wicked" asap. All the best in 2025. 🌷
