I don't think remakes of the classics with a modern twist of political views would sell. Just make new stories and then they're free to put any views and beliefs on there rather than forcing the modern day standards to a classic tale.

Some people are trying to salvage anything about this movie remake. To be honest, there's no point on doing remakes if it can't sur the original if not be of equal footing. This one just clearly made no sense, and not to mention the disastrous changes they made just for the movie to fit on today's standards. Yeah yeah, I know, we love the minority now, the people of color but sometimes, there are things better to be left alone.

Fairytales are full of wonders, because it's gives us the freedom, freedom from the stressful reality we called life. And yet, these people wants to push their political views using this wonderful classic. Geez...

All we can do is hope for the best, but expect the worst. The reason why Hollywood turned it's eye on anime live action is their disastrous remakes, specially with Disney. I hope they wouldn't ruin those live actions too
