The Doctor is not a hero. Long time viewers know that the Doctor is as likely to bring chaos and destruction as help. However the Doctor always means well which is what keeps The Doctor lovable, if not a dangerous person to be around. Nine says to Rose in “the empty child” … Just this once everybody lives! …. Does this sound like a character that doesn’t realize they are the embodiment of Chaotic Good? Ruby wasn’t special, it turned out she was just normal, that was the point. Belinda seems like The Doctor meeting their match (more of a Donna) I loved this season’s opener and I’m excited for more!
