See AllIndiana Jones 5's Franchise-Low $383M Box Office Gets Candid Reflection From Director 1 Year Later: "How Would Anything Have Made The Audience Happy"
I totally disagree. It seems you went in wanting to hate it. Almost everything I've seen mentioned that was bad about either didn't happen in the movie (showing they are based on the false rumors leaked before that really hurt the movie being successful) or those going in looking for flaws that made their already established opinion (based most on those rumors and the anti-woke mob). Indy did a lot in the movie. Many action scenes and finding ways around that I wouldn't expect any 80 year old to do. This idea that he was sidelined is complete BS. Phoebe Waller-Bridge was excellent, and as the other person said, a good foil for Indy. They both did their part in different situations. There were several times I felt like I was actually watching an Indiana Jones movie (which I never felt in Crystal Skull). It was easily better than that abysmal movie and even Temple of Doom (which the RT audience score confirms). Plus it had more heart than most of the other movies (maybe Last Crusade with his relationship with his father, though his hardness after losing his son and the final moments with Marion were pretty close).
Greta Gerwig Adapting Narnia Prequel Instead Of Original Books, Says Jason Isaacs
The idea that she couldn't return to Narnia wasn't just about makeup. The makeup was to represent that she had grown up and she came to believe that it was all a childhood fantasy. She had become distracted by other things in life and came to lose her belief in Aslan and Narnia. Much like kids who grow up believing in Jesus but lose that faith and belief as they grow older and find other things that distract them or lead them away from believing.
Wicked Director Defends Movie's Controversial Desaturated Color-Grading: "Wouldn't Feel Real"
I was surprised to see people talking about the desaturation. I thought the colors were beautiful and made the film being more artistic. But, I guess, compared to the saturated Technicolor of the 1939 movie, maybe. But I still thought it was a beautiful looking film.
Wicked Director Defends Movie's Controversial Desaturated Color-Grading: "Wouldn't Feel Real"
I'm not sure what your comment is saying. It's not about what color he used but that he used colors to wow people to hide who he really was. He came into a break world and amazed them and made everything colorful so that they would think their world was perfect when it really wasn't. Which really goes all the way back to the original Wizard of Oz book. The Emerald City wasn't really emerald. They were made to wear glasses that made everything look emerald. Everything colorful and magical about the city was actually fake.
Wicked Director Defends Movie's Controversial Desaturated Color-Grading: "Wouldn't Feel Real"
Spenger is right. The director said he didn't want it to seem like a dream (like the 1939 movie portrayed it as) in order to make the stakes feel higher. Yes. Maybe people would still understand and feel the stakes, but having it feel more realistic makes people connect even more.
Robert Zemeckis Wants To Make Another Back to the Future Movie (With A Twist)
I wanted to just see a filmed production of the stage musical. Just like we got with Hamilton and other musicals. That way I have a chance of seeing it without traveling and paying the high prices to see the musical on stage. I don't really need a full film production like Zemeckis is talking about.
