3 Series that deserved a second or more seasons:

Space, Above and beyond, could still do so with a new squadron.

Defying Gravity, it just got its legs before being cancelled.

Crusade, cancelled in favour of Firefly, which in turn was cancelled, should have stayed with Crusade.

Vir best line comes after Morden asks him "What do you want?".

Vir replies "I'd like to live just long enough to be there when they cut off you head and stick it on a spike as a warning to the next 10 generations that some favours come with too higher price. I want to look up at you lifeless eyes and wave like this."

I can think of half a dozen episodes of Babylon 5 that blows Lost into the weeds.

As the best version of Das Boot is the 6 episode version I chuck in a bonus series, Ghostboat, staring David Jason and no, it's not a comedy.

And there's me thinking it's because he was convicted of beat ing up his ex girlfriend.

Since Avengers the MCU policy has been not changed actors playing major characters but too e forward with different characters. Now under the Disney umbrella I don't see that policy changing.

My thoughts for that was J Micheal Straczinski saying "I want Bruce Willis, but cheaper. That's not to say the Jerry Doyle wasn't a good actor just that he was unknown and thus commanded a lower fee.

Not exactly true, prior to production J Micheal Straczinski had written scenarios to cover the leaving of all the major characters and used several including.

Jeffery Sinclair (Micheal O'Hare) was replaced by John Sheridan (Bruce Boxleiter), Susan Ivanova (Claudia Christian) with Elizabeth Lockley (Tracy Scoggins). Plus several characters that were replaced between the pilot and first series. By that logic there would have been an exit scenario for Garibaldi. The only character to be played by 2 actors was Kosh, but that was a deliberate choice to show that Kosh was more like a position within the Vorlons and not a single entity.

Honourable mentions:

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Computer animation took a giant leap forward, deserves more love than it has.

The Last Starfighter. Packs a bigger punch than it's budget suggests. Also Lord Kril's last words, absolutely classic.

Battlestar Galactica. Possibly has the most reused effects, used in almost every sci-fi series in the late 70s/early 80s.

Starship Troopers. The first film I couldn't see the between live action and CGI.
