I loved that victorious scene too. Alex's death was heartbreaking. I was hoping that she and Aunt Cara would officially meet. Spencer and Alex had that epic love story that pulled on every fiber of my being.

I agree. I thought she would tell the couple who was driving to take her to the train station when she heard that there were no more gas stations. It didn't make sense for them to continue the journey..And she could have sent a telegram to the Dutton family. It bothered me too that they continued on in the snow.
