I'm happy for you. FF7 was one of my favorite games as a kid, and I feel the remake would be meh without the story. I had much more fun with clair obscurs combat and gameplay than I did with the FF7 remakes.

Should they copy it? No, but they definitely need to do something with their formula. 16 was decent, 15 & 13 were bad. 12 was only good after zodiac.

Oh there's a witcher season 4? Weird. I stopped caring after the show runners pushed Cavill out by wanting to change the material away from the source (which is why I watched in the first place).

Adjusted for inflation it's about the same cost as the PS4 pro. I got one, sold my regular model for a couple hundred and now I don't have to turn options down to play at 60 fps. That's a win.
