X-Files is definitely more sci-fi than it is fantasy.

I totally disagree. Fantasy and Science Fiction do indeed overlap in many cases, but they are in fact two separate and distinct genres. Look it up yourself.

The Matrix is not fantasy, and Harry Potter is not science fiction, they are distinct.

I would say not to take his whimsical violence too seriously, and you’ll find it easier to enjoy his films. I also agree with you about his work, it can be very hit or miss.

Reservoir Dogs is still one of my favorite crime films of all time!!!
