Poor Stanley Kubrick, do to logistics, was stuck with her - & BY GOD, DUVALL WASN'T GOING TO LISTEN TO ANYBODY!

The REAL danger of Margaret Hamilton's green make-up was it had Metallic Copper Flecks in it! Although she said all she felt was warmth, the crew attacked to get that make-up off as fast they could before THE RED-HOT METAL PIECES BURNED INTO HER SKIN, SCARRING HER!

SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE: Censored it was a trivialized silliness that negated the real message: when, at the end, the lead character realizes how empty & meaningless his existence is. All the 'complaints' given in the above were the important points of the film. Just how EMPTY & DEPRESSING this life was. Like LA DOLCE VITA. If you realize it's intent, SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE has actually aged quite well, it's message as pertinent today as it was then.

SILENT MOVIE Was A Riot!

1941 was an ill-conceived poorly thought out mess ( they really needed to review SANJURO(?) by Akira Kurosawa & starring Toshiro Mifune. The Samurai-Wannabe 'Boy Scouts' would have been PERFECT for the Imperial Japanese submarine scene (" Land of honorable samurais: I Get Kabuki Actors Wannabes!")

Don't forget James Earl Jones's real life stammer in one of our favorite films " A Family Thing" costarring Robert Duvall. A MASTER CLASS IN ACTING (& some of the FUNNIEST duet scenes ever shot!)
