Perhaps the focus of evil is within certain cities or deities...then we have "this city" over here that is mostly altruistic and their main deities are reflected in the society...then the evil is manifested by Llolth or Menzo themselves, not a product of "they just are".
D&D 2024 Rules Change Potions More Than You Think
Where in the Players does it show this? Health potions are identified as bonus actions. From where ive read, the rest are considered just magic items taking the appropriate action to use.
D&D 2024 Player’s Handbook Apparently Forgot What Made Tasha’s Character Building So Great
And the reverse, just as much. The strength and con aspects did very little as I was an athlete my entire life before the military. By comparison, the military did very little for me in that regard. It did help people who had not been athletic. But other than airborne or more elite units, those things tended to fade after training.
The minimums for physical training were just that. The Marines took it more seriously, the Army more serious than the other two. Your specialties within that tended to be the key. The coders...guess where they excelled, the linguists...? Etc. Tying it to background is ridiculous.
Flipping that, even in college if we had the same classes it didnt give us the same strengths and weaknesses given labs, workshops, or classroom. Genetics and childhood were a bigger part for all of it and calling that a background (as is layed out in the PHBs) is a bit much. So giving freedom for players to choose where their characters excelled is a much better option in my eyes.

I've said for my own games that will absolutely not be a thing and I couldn't believe they tied it to backgrounds.
Even BG3 should have shown them the popularity, and usability, if Tasha's somehow had not.
I'm a former soldier and my physical attributes were not formed by that aspect of my life. In fact, it was that time of my life where i became way more into reading and music.
