pretty tiresome speculation because brand new day can be connected to any villain. maybe someone like lizard or doc ock comes as different version, maybe kingpin arrives and changes the dynamics of the city, maybe chameleon presents a different spidey, maybe spidey starts to turn into manspider and thats why banner steps in, maybe its spidey allies like miles stepping in...

mostly i think its about crime lords. so far peter has fought solo crazed people. kingpin, tombstone etc. would drag the world into darker web of crime. but, as said its random speculation.

whats the point of this? its already pretty much confirmed the movie will feature a bunch of villains including scorpion and tombstone. already plenty busy.

i think brand new day just implies that after the memory blip a bunch of criminals suddenly decide its good time to surface. suddenly everyones focus is that spidey is the crimefighter and he has more fear factor than as peter. j. jonah recruits scorpion etc.

makes perfect sense. thanos was a big bad from the outset and kang was going to be the same thing from another angle (one vs many). doom obviously was planned to be the schemer who everyone considers a hero but he fools everyone. galactus and multiverse rifts gives it the perfect foundation.

most interesting is whether doom pretty straightforward works with heroes until he manages to steal the powers or whether he schemes xmen and avengers to fight each other while he is still supposedly an ally. i do hope they manage to do a good palpatine worthy tale

plus civil war happened in an entire movie before infinity wars. i really doubt theyre going to dedicate 50% of doomsday or whatever to explain why the heroes are fighting each other and then suddenly doc doom beats them all out of the blue.

though considering that they made a big point about casting kelsey grammer i do believe f4 and xmen might be at odds because beast is the guy who might understand multiverse. essentially xmen and f4 are the outsiders who make avengers radar beep. especially when magneto came through too. maybe the confusion even makes avengers think doc doom is some sort of ally. partially because he looks like tony.

theres no way they casted rdj without planning to have some sort of stark tie-in. guaranteed that at least the heroes will see his face and go "he looks just like...", even if the makers try to remain ambiguous and dont actually state he is tony from another universe. implication is that the kid who grew up to be tony in our universe somehow was different in another universe. maybe his parents died before he was named tony and foster parents named him victor or whatever. maybe they dont explain it at all like they didnt really explain thanos that deeply either. just say this man was a brilliant scientist and magic enthusiast who suffered some traumatic experience (like galactus or the multiverse drifts destroying his world)
