I believe the traditional usage is The Doctor...the movies Peter Cushing referred to Dr. Who but they are not part of the canon. He had a different name when attending the Time Lord Academy but if that was a given name or a name assigned by the Academy is up for debate. John Smith has long been his alias when needed... Conrad was reading from a book that was part of the so-called perfect world. That it called him Dr. Who was a clue that this was not the "real" world.

I have been a loyal fan since the early days... I met my husband through a Dr. Who fan club. We shared so much through conventions and cosplay. I was so disappointed when it was cancelled. When it returned under the Disney label it wasn't the same. One thing I have noticed is that tech has taken over... everything is in a space ship or another planet. The best episodes were set in the past! He is a Time Lord...let him travel in time. "Lux" was one of the better recent episodes. I hope the program continues...and I would love if it went back to PBS.

No one said they were replacing Alex as River Song...they were suggesting that the character Rogue would fill the niche River left. But whatever happened to the rule "No hanky panky in the TARDIS'? This proves the program has fully embraced its place as adult drama...no longer kid's or even a family show.

I am having trouble viewing Dr Who on Disney plus...all I can find are old episodes...never the current one...so I guess these articles are spoilers for me. But I am thrilled to see the Rani back...we named our beautiful long haired black cat Rani...she has one white spot that my husband called the Mark of the Rani!

It's ironic that if Prudence had her power when alive she definitely would have been accused of witchcraft... just the fact that she has it now is a little gibe at her holier than thou attitude. As for others there are still some that are unknown.
