See AllWhy Shalla-Bal Being The MCU's Silver Surfer Rather Than Norrin Radd Is Actually Perfect
If they had just said "Silver Surfer being a woman could be an awesome movie" I would have agreed. Instead, they wrote an entire article doing mental gymnastics to justify it and spent the whole time claiming Norrin Radd was such a bland character and we should all be happy that he was replaced. THAT's why most of the comments have a problem with it. It was all about criticizing Norrin by someone who seems to have no clue what they're talking about about and has never read to comics. Norrin Radd's character was great and very complex and the readers loved it. The fact they had to make up a bunch of bull crap to justify their reason for writing the article is the problem, NOT what gender SS is.
Magic: The Gathering's Lands Didn't Bother Me For 10 Years, But One TCG Changed That
The first TCG I ever played, back in 1996, used "sites" as lands that also generated your resource and comprised the gameboard for your units to occupy, defend, battle at, conquer, and included special effects that could have either local or widespread alterations of the gameplay. I guess it only took about 30 years for someone to how awesome it was. It was the third most popular cars game on the world until it was eventually dethroned by Yu-Gi-Oh. It was called Star Wars: CCG, and it was my favorite game of all time. It also had the best version of determination (an alternative to dice or coin flips) that also self-balanced the deck construction called "Destiny" numbers that were printed on each card. The stronger the card the lower the number, which meant the more powerful your cards were the weaker your "luck" would be, hence the self balancing. God, I miss that game!
After 300 Hours In Baldur's Gate 3, I Think I've Solved One Of The Game's Biggest Mysteries
I don't really understand your logic. Isn't that kind of like saying, "I met a guy at the market on Friday, so there's no way he could have been at the park on Monday?"
After Studying Wolverine's Claws, I'm Convinced Marvel Doesn't Know How They Actually Work
Cat claws don't actually move in and out, they're curved and rotate on a leverage point. For Wolverine's to work that way he'd have to have great if bulges sticking out of his forearm about a foot long.
It's just fantasy, trying to explain them with real world biology is futile. Just enjoy the character. 😊
10 Most Popular MCU Wolverine Casting Choices, Ranked
The biggest problem is the voice. That's nothing wrong with Radcliffe's voice, and I'm sure he could "gruff it up" the same way some actors put on accents, but I just don't think he would ever "sound like Wolverine." Anyone who steps into the role has to be someone that you could recognize as being Wolverine with your eyes closed. Wolverine is a character of few words, and his iconic one-liners have to be just that, iconic. If you don't get goosebumps when he responds to a deadly villain with a gravelly 3 word taunt, then you're not watching Wolverine.
(P.S. Am I the only one who would really love to see Karl Urban play Lobo? Not many other actors fit the bill both physically, vocally, and could pull off simultaneously being a violent badass while being funny. ...in my opinion. )
After 80 Years, DC Just Made a Smart Change to the Batcave
As the article stated the entrances are in abandoned buildings owned by Wayne Enterprises and presumably behind heavily fortified locked doors. They're not just open holes in the ground.
