See All20 Years Ago, Anime's Best Mech Series Made Its Debut, And I Don't Think It Can Ever Be Topped
It never topped that to begin with so the arguement it'll never be toppled is...an interesting one.
Gundam remains the top. I dont even watch Gundam and know that objectively speaking it's the top in popularity. Gurren Lagaan was a fantastic mecha anime, dont get me wrong. But it's not "Animes Best Mecha Series."
"Best" is overall a subjective thing, but when speaking about it at an article level, which should be objective pieces, then it's based off overall popularity, since there's no other way to measure it realistically. And popularity wise...Gundam is by far ahead of all the rest. Even people who dont know much about anime know about Gundam. Its like comparing Dragonball to Fairy Tail. Or Pokémon to....uhm...Monster Rancher?

Okay, you don't have twist my arm, I'll play through the Mass Effect series again.
Japan Already Decided The 3 Strongest Anime Characters, And Even We Were Surprised By The Results
I think this article needs to be re-titled. When you say "anime characters" then it should be talking about characters as they appear in their respective anime. Not how they are at the end of their series in the source (whether that he manga, web novel, light novels, etc.) Most anime fans might read the manga but reading the web/light novels is far more rare so they won't have any idea how a character like Rimuru could even come close to making the ranking at all.

Is that the one where he tells someone to die and they just die? Because if so, a lot of anime series have characters that do the same and it comes down to an overwhelming willpower or other power making that ability completely nullified.
One Piece’s Live-Action Is Making A Huge Zoro Mistake That Netflix's Season 2 Must Fix
I think he should be left as is, or well, grown naturally from where he is. The live action is a compressed version of the series. Which means far less screen time for all characters. Adding more humor to his character risks removing the rest of his worth and turning him into just a cheap laugh and nod at what the anime clearly has a ton of time for.
Following Its Disastrous Anime Debut, The Beginning After the End's Creator Is Breaking Their Silence
Feel like I need to rewatch the first 2 episodes now because I feel like I watched a different anime from everyone else with how many people complain about the animation. I've seen way worse. SDS, Konosuba, some moments of those the anime got atrocious to me but felt the animation with this was...generic? Maybe it's more a hype thing. People hyped the series way too much and got let down that it wasn't the biggest animation masterpiece of the century? Will go back and watch to double check my opinion.
