See AllReacher Season 3 Had The Perfect Chance To Adapt Lee Child's "Reacher Said Nothing," But Did The Exact Opposite
Ive separated stories into two categories. On one side you have the normal character arc that includes growth and change, like real life. Reacher is not real life, he is a force of nature!
The other side is a character who is defined by his role and you KNOW he will win, you just want to see how he pulls it off. You can write endless novels with this format. (Think Spencer and other mostly adventurous type that have been going on for mutiple decades).
So don't water down Reacher to please the masses because it ruins what made him famous in the first place!
As much as I loved the entire series, I've never really wanted to read them again and most of them are a blur. But The Hard Way and One Shot are two books I well and Ive actually reread Make Me because its a classic Reacher style and an oddly satisfying if grim mystery combining two different things I dont want to give away. What he discovers probably really exists and is horribly grim so you REALLY want to sic Reacher on them.
10 Great K-Dramas That Are Absolutely Hilarious
Mr Queen is in my GOAT list. Shin Hye Sun has become my favorite actress and great at physical comedy, which is hard for women to pull off.
Business Proposal and Love to Hate You are two light-hearted rom-coms and both funny and LTHY is also in my GOAT list.
10 K-Dramas That Are Considered Masterpieces
I think of Cinderella as the ultimate Korean rom-com with a memorable OST. Its all tropes but done so well and the lead actress so engaging with her optimism and heartbreak. BTW, she was in Parasite, the first foreign film to win best picture in the non-foreign category. Blew my mind Hollywood would it a foreign film was better than all the American films.
10 K-Dramas That Are Considered Masterpieces
Sounds like somebody likes Shin Hye Sun! She's my favorite and one of the most respected actresses in S. Korea. Unfortunately she never falls into best actress lists because they are full of kpop icons. She blew up the screen in Mr. Queen!
10 K-Dramas That Are Considered Masterpieces
For a good classic rom-com that doesnt get heavy this is one of my favorites.
However, a shorter but better (in my opinion) series is Love To Hate You. The craftmanship is so complete it feels more like manga (or Manwha for Koreans)
