There's some information missing here—they also confirmed that on international release, they would also release a set of Japanese and English dubs (I dearly hope it's British English). We don't yet know when 'international release' will occur though, or if it's some weeks after the release in China.

But we also don't know the release date at all yet either, but they announced production has finished yesterday. :) We're hoping it'll be a surprise June 28th release date, which is the day Zhou Mingrui transmigrated. Some rumors currently of both June and July.

Kind of good to know that they didn't definitely release the release day partly because of the censoring check process and potentially graphic parts. That was new info to me, and makes a lot of sense. I think they've also decided to hype up the release by leaning into this instead and keeping it mysterious other than 'summer 2025', and various teases in the past weeks with the production studio's celebration dinner, releasing more donghua art, and some other teasing... As befits a story full of mystery and suspense!

Accurate coverage of the current event and news on the donghua release. For anyone with doubts, you can watch the released three trailers and know that the novel itself is just really, really great. For it's audience, it will really be one of the best stories if not the best (I may be a bit biased). I hope the anime does it justice as an adaptation, but so far all the signs are looking good.

Try to avoid spoilers at all costs. As the title may indicate, mysteries play a heavy role, and there is a lot that is spoilerable. If you want to read it, some people may find Volume 1 slow; others are hooked even very early on; but you will know for sure if the story is for you or not by the end of volume 1. The animation will likely feel a bit more fast-paced, at least with a tease, based on the adaptation decisions shown so far, but should also maintain the slice of life moments. The reviews for the offline viewing(s) of the first episode in China were also very positive.

In addition, there is a manhua remake coming out (currently at chapter 7 or so), and the first English hardcopy of part of volume 1 is also being released now on June 10th, after being considered now national literature in China for some years. So there are more LotM events and media coming out, as well as a game in the distant future.
