🔴 Jonathan Kent
1. Gives Confusing Moral Lessons
• Suggests Clark should let kids die to protect his identity “maybe” — completely opposite of his comic book role as a moral foundation.
2. Tells Clark Not to Help
• Instead of encouraging Clark’s heroic instincts, he suppresses them, damaging the classic father-son dynamic.

🔴 Lois Lane
1. Too Reactive
• Lacks the bold, fearless, investigative nature she’s famous for.
• Their relationship develops unnaturally fast, without the strong foundation of banter, trust, or friendship.

🔴 General Issues in Snyder’s Superman World
1. Tone is Too Grim, Joyless
• Superman’s world is typically filled with wonder and optimism. Snyder’s is bleak, gray, and fatalistic.
2. Massive Destruction with No Weight
• Metropolis suffers 9/11-level damage in Man of Steel, but there’s no emotional or human focus on consequences.
3. Lack of Public Trust
• The world views Superman as a threat or god-like figure, rather than a protector of the people.
4. Doesn’t Learn or Grow Much
• There’s little character growth across the films. Classic Superman constantly learns, matures, and refines his ideals.
5. His Symbol is Rewritten
• The “S” stands for “hope” on Krypton in Snyder’s version. In the comics, it evolves into a symbol for Superman through his actions.
