Was this a typo? I mean, Odin certainly DID wield Mjolnir during his stint in Prehistory as a member of the Prehistoric Avengers.

However, as the write-up above is centered around Thor Odinson, I question whether the “Odin” reference in there was just a mistake or not...

Let's talk about the elephant in the room...

Since they are Best of Friends, imagine what a “True to Power Level” Team they could make.

Also, consider that since they have both had their Dark Sides, shall we say, “fleshed out”, imagine the implications for the rest of the Marvel universe if in teaming up they were manipulated by some master conniver (and there are just so many <squee!>) into taking on the rest of the “good guys” before the whole thing were worked out.

If we needed some wholesale destruction, make it a What If?™ or just a multiverse thing. And who might be able to stop them? The God Squad? The Celestials? Or even the whole Titantic Universal Power Personae roster?

Think of the Ramifications & Possibilities! Maybe even the only way to actually stop it/them is for The Potential for Creation & Destruction (Phoenix) & a Bastion of Caring & Pragmatism (Storm) to merge & become a replacement for the Living Tribunal!

Let's not forget the Zalkonians, well, at least once they've Ascended (or whatever they call it).

[And yes, I know they called the process “evolving”...]

So, we've established in (Alpha & Beta) cannon that there are a FEW non-Vulcans who can perform (to varying degrees of proficiency) a Vulcan Nerve Pinch (VNP) namely:

▪ Kirk,

▪ Spock (listed here because he is a hybrid)

▪ Burnham

▪ Data

▪ Archer

Of these non-Vulcans, we only knew of One who could do so proficiently, Spock.

And we Know of only one who could complete a VNP & have it “take” for a significant length of time, also Spock.

However...

The instance where Data “VNPed” Selek, we Do know that Selek was “out” long enough to allow the Vulcan Splinter Group to vacate their compromised tunnels & caverns, which she most assuredly Did know about. So, IF Data was able to “successfully” VNP her, we DO have a common denominator, namely: Hand Strength.

It seems that Picard, Kirk, Burnham & Archer all had the Capability to VNP, but all but Archer was shown to have an “imperfect technique.” (We didn't See Archer's target stay ‘down’ until he revived, so can't say for sure that hosting Sarek’s katra did anything else than give him a level of “technical proficiency”.)

Knowing whether Archer could perform a “long duration VNP” or not would certainly lend more credence to the “Hand Strength” Proper VNP or not... 

As I recall, although both Animated, STLD & ST(TAS) (at least now) have been elevated to Canon status.

Mind you, it took a while for TAS to get that coveted classification...

In my opinion, much of Wesley's problem post-traveler-ising is that as a functioning regular character, he would become too much of a deux-ex-machina for the series.

I mean, it's not that Trek wasn't exactly experienced at nerfing powerful technologies or powers... (Think “Captain! The Cardassians dropped a tennis ball & now the Warp Drive is off line!”)

But needing to do this All The Time would be too reminiscent of Troy's “I'm not reading anything from their embassador” across the room when she could regularly detect the emotions of beings in a different ship... Hundreds of meters away... With their ‘shields up, no less! 🤷‍♂😤

I think a better option would have been to tie him to having to stay on the ship for some reason & needing to have the equivalent of a Starfleet education as the series went on. I mean, it's not like they don't have some of the best training environments available anywhere, and hundreds of Officers readily available for mentoring, teaching & evaluations. (Perhaps this could have been some of the formative steps of the Remote Realtime Holographic Communication technology that Starfleet introduced in DS9.)

Wesley's conversion into a Traveller was at best “jumping the shark” & pure lazy story writing at worst.

Similar thing happened in an 80s scifi/comedy series “The Greatest American Hero”. Titular character's space alien delivered costume was the actual source of all “his” powers. He would occasionally use the cape of the costume as a shield for either himself (the fleshy soft bits which were exposed) or others. ’80 — ’83, I think...

So, just a thought... I know the whole "a business suit + a pair of glasses" suddenly makes no one recognize Clark as Supes, but...

If he's just a Solar Tesla Wall™ in a suit, doncha think that the average normie would recognize that everyone but the guy in the blue suit isn't Absolutely Soaked in Sweat when it's 112° (44.4 for the non-freedom units crowd) on the street?
