See AllThe Controversial Star Wars Episode That Pedro Pascal Considers One Of His Favorites: "Such A Beautiful, Lonely Episode"
I love that particular episode and have rewatched it often. However, it and the following 2 episodes about Grogu and his return to Din Djarin belonged in The Mandalorian not the Book of Boba Fett. Definitely Return of The Mandalorian should have been the opening episode of Season 3 and the other 2 worked into their own episodes in Season 3. They are all very important episodes relative to Din Djarin and Grogu's journey an, in my opinion, should have been in their own series. But, the powers that be messed that up and messed up what should have been a great series.. Boba Fett got cheated. What's done is done though, looking forward to the Mandalorian and Grogu movie and hoping for more seasons of The Mandalorian.
5 Reasons Why Din Djarin Should Have Been The Mandalorian Leader (& 5 Reasons Why It Had To Be Bo-Katan)
It's very clear that Season 3 was all about Bo's journey of personal growth. Din's friendship and faith in her gives her the strength she has lost when her tribe rejected her because she wouldn't fight Din Djarin for the dark sabre. I would have liked to have seen why she wouldn't do that. If, as according to John F. Grogu had been with Luke for 2 years, that's a long time for her to have challenged Din for the weapon, yet she didn't. Also, Season 3 set up a partnership between Din and Bo and she became very attached to Grogu and he to her. They portrayed a family unit that was put aside at the end of the season as she had to focus on ruling Mandalore and Din wanted to get back to work. The time line was never addressed but they had to have stayed on Mandalore a long time to get as much rebuilt as was seen in the final scenes, plus Din adopting Grogu. The events of season 3 were too fast, so much more could have been explored and expanded on. Now, I think it makes sense for Din Djarin and BoKatan to marry, become a true family for Grogu and rule Mandalore together, which would leave Grogu as heir to Mandalore. So much storytelling possibilities.
Move Over Baby Yoda, Star Wars Has A New Adorable Lead Character
I have to say that no Star Wars character is as cute, captivating and entertaining as Grogu and I honestly don't believe he will ever be topped no matter how old he gets. I tried watching the Skeleton Crew yesterday and frankly it couldn't hold my attention and I stopped watching it halfway through the second episode. It just doesn't appeal to me. I wasn't impressed with the characters or the story line which I felt was "dark" and I also didn't like the teachers telling the kids that they would be chosen for careers based on what would be best for the Republic, not whatever career the kids wanted. It had a Socialist and Communistic tone to it that I didn't care for. This is just my opinion based on my personal preference. I won't be watching the show. Frankly I would like to see more of The Mandalorian from all aspects of his 3 seasons without having to wait 2-3 years between seasons!
Star Wars' Latest Mandalorian Announcement Underlines Just How Big A Mistake The Book Of Boba Fett Really Was
I agree that the Book of Boba Fett should be released on DVD especially because of its importance to The Mandalorian. It's also a good story on its own merit. Not everyone thinks it was a failure, but Disney definitely made some major mistakes with his story line. The biggest mistake was mixing in 3 key Mandalorian episodes which really belonged in The Mandalorian Season 3. I will buy it on Blu-ray DVD and have been waiting for it to be released. I'm definitely going to buy The Mandalorian Season 3 DVD Blu-ray as soon as it's available.
The Mandalorian's Most Controversial Choice Fixes A 47-Year-Old Star Wars Problem
I don't think it should have ended at the end of Season 2, but their reunion was way too early and absolutely should not have taken place during The Book of Boba Fett. That was a big mistake as such a big event should absolutely been during a Mandalorian episode. According to Jon F. Grogu was with Luke for about 2 years, giving him back to DJarin in Boba Fett confused the timeline. I would have liked to see more of both of them on their journey without each other to see how they handle the separation. It would have created a tension and emotions that would have made Grogu's choice to return to DJarin more impactful. It's too bad that Lucasfilm is spending so much time on unnecessary spin off shows when they should be focusing on and adequately developing the story of The Mandalorian which has proven to be their best and most popular series instead of rushing through each season. It's also absolutely frustrating to have to wait 2-3 YEARS between seasons!
The Mandalorian Secretly Set Grogu Up To Repeat Anakin Skywalker's Fall
I think you are forgetting DJarin's influence on Grogu. He's training him in the Mandalorian way of which honor, loyalty etc. is key. But as Mandalorian warriors so is control over your emotions, your actions. Much of what the Jedi fear about attachments is not being able to control their emotions so they strive to bury them instead of feeling them and learning how to control them not just suppress them. Grogu is already well on his way to being a responsible Force . Guess we will just have to wait and see where John F. takes his character. Personally I don't believe Grogu will ever turn to the dark side and it will be because of his love for DJarin and DJarin's love for him plus all the other people in Grogu's life who have shown him love, friendship and loyalty.
