If you think Romulus was a better sequel to Prometheus, you didnt get Prometheus at all.

At its core, Prometheus is a philosophy movie. In the original Alien, Ripley and Ash were named after philosophers. Scott took this idea and ran with it in Prometheus. Each character represented a religious group or philosopher that wrote about the bible (mostly Transcendentalists). Covenant dropped a lot of the themes of Prometheus, but continued this idea. Romulus was just a rehash of old Alien movies
