I actually agree with this. I mean I've seen snippets from the start of doctor who, dads a giant whovian, got me into it when I was younger. Been watching it since Eccelston too, with rose. My favourite is Tennant too actually. I kind of agree with your kids, same my dad. Yes, the Doc is basically an entire different person when they regenerate. But this whole new one, the 15th doc, the writing is sloppy and...childish? It's not interesting to watch, and for a good few episodes, the doc was hardly in it, then some weird musical number was in, he cried a lot...For the Doc. The most interesting episodes written were closer to the end of the season, that's what caught our attention. Writing it as a G rated show, or worse like Disney, is likely to lose long time fans.. nothing to the actor, I think he's great just the writings gone wonky 😅
