Is anakin the chosen one. I have never understood why this is so confusing, the answer is obviously yes. "A child will be born of the force who will restore balance" Anakin was born of the force, which is why quigon thought he was the chosen. He restored balance, for a thousand years it was thousands of jedi and 2 sith. Anakin restored the balance by wiping out the jedi. Nowhere did the prophecy say destroy the sith. "Balance" clearly means both must exist. Where the jedi got destroying the sith equals balance from is just another sign of them losing their way. Even Yoda says in his conversation with Obi-Wan when he realized what was going on that they misread the prophecy.
