See AllIs the Stranger Things season 5 release strategy a let-down or an exciting idea?
I understand that some people want to binge-watch Stranger Things in one weekend, but I'm honestly thrilled about the release plan. I urge people to have patience; all the hype and sense of community that fans are going to experience in the weeks between episode releases are going to make it worthwhile. It's been a long time coming, so I really do sympathize with frustration, but great TV deserves its time in the limelight, not just one weekend.
How does the early gameplay footage of The Witcher 4 look?
I can't express how excited I am for The Witcher 4, and every bit of gameplay footage is just going to drive me more insane until the game is out. Everything in today's video of the game looked gorgeous. I've considered video game graphics to be at their asymptote for years, wondering if sequels like this would be worthwhile for anything other than story updates, but it looks fantastic, and the mechanics they displayed are incredibly in-depth.
Is Elden Ring Nightreign worth buying?
I was cautious about buying Elden Ring Nightreign upon hearing early reviews, but now that I've played it, I'm confused about what the controversy is. The game is exactly what I expected it to be, and it's a ton of fun to play with friends. I could see it being a frustrating experience for anyone who has to solo queue, as there's no real way to communicate with teammates, but if you have people to hop in with that love Elden Ring, it's a more arcade-like version.
What's the biggest surprise from the 2024-2025 television viewership ratings?
My biggest takeaway from Variety's report is just how much control Netflix has over the streaming market. HBO only had two shows in the top 100, Hulu's highest-ranking show was #49, Disney+'s was #45, and Apple TV+'s was #79. This could simply be due to the shows that aired during the 2024-2025 season, which are still generating good numbers. However, given the investment, I'm curious about the profitability of original content on other platforms, aside from Netflix.
Is Sabrina Carpenter right for a new Mamma Mia movie?
I'm not the biggest Mamma Mia! fan in the world, but I do enjoy the movies and like that they have this sort of unique identity through their ABBA songs. Sabrina Carpenter could be an excellent lead. I think her music is great, and I'd be excited to see her dip into movies. That said, I hope the music will still maintain the identity of sounding more like ABBA and classic Mamma Mia! than a Sabrina Carpenter album.
Are the mixed reviews for Wes Anderson's new movie surprising?
I'm not entirely surprised that The Phoenician Scheme's reviews are mixed, as this seems to be the case with most of his movies recently. I personally loved Asteroid City and didn't care much for The French Dispatch, and I think it's far for his films to range like that from viewer to viewer. That said, I don't think the critique that he's just getting movie stars to appear for stories that add up to nothing is very valid. These movies are purposefully messy and disted, and it's part of why they work so well.

Alien: Romulus
While I found the direct quotes from previous movies and the CGI face of Ian Holm to be a bit jarring, my hope for the Alien franchise is renewed by Fede Álvarez's latest installment. Romulus mixes the intriguing world-building elements of Ridley Scott's prequels with the classic 1979 Alien blueprint for a terrific sci-fi/horror film that left me wanting more.

See AllWas The Leftovers season 1 too dark?
I completely agree with you. I can understand people saying it gets off to a slow start with the first few episodes, but I wouldn't say it's too dark. To each their own, but that's just the tone of the show, and there's some phenomenal storytelling in that series. I being blown away when I first watched "Two Boats and a Helicopter," which is the first Christopher Eccleston-focused episode in the show.
What is the most disappointing scrapped Marvel or DC superhero game in recent years?
Both Wonder Woman and EA's Black Panther seemed to have similar premises, and I'm bummed we won't get either. Anything with the nemesis system or something like it paired with a beloved franchise or compelling world is going to pique my interest.
What movie has a terrible Rotten Tomatoes rating but is actually great?
I'm going to go ahead and come clean that I really like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Or, at least, the extended cut. I'm not a big Zack Snyder fan in general, but I think the theatrical cut was just a poor representation of the movie he made.
Should Tom Welling's Clark wear his Superman suit in the Smallville sequel show?
I feel like, at this point, it would be pretty ridiculous not to have him wear the suit. I'm totally with you that it was worthwhile for him not to wear the suit in Smallville, but a sequel show would really just be about Superman. I think seeing Clark grappling with what it means to wear a symbol and exist in such a public capacity could be fantastic, incorporating the humanity that made Smallville so great.
I'm excited about The Last of Us season 3's story change.
I'm totally with you on this one. I really enjoyed Abby's story in the games, and I also really enjoyed Kaitlyn Dever's limited scenes in the role this season. I can't wait to see what she and her ing cast can do with more time!
I can't believe EA scrapped the Black Panther game after all these years.
I'm completely with you on this one. It's been six years since Spider-Man, and there's nothing even remotely close aside from its own sequel. I want that same, immersive experience now for all of my favorite superheroes, and nothing really seems to suffice. Here's to hoping Wolverine or Iron-Man pan out.
