It's escapist fare and you can enjoy it as I do. Just don't think for a moment it resembles the way our criminal courts operate in real life. I spent 40+ years as a criminal prosecutor and some of the evidentiary rulings or discussions about the law are real howlers. And there is also this thing called "discovery" which doesn't always appear in this show with all of the "surprises."
