1st I am a fan of IMF. Tom Cruise, who very clearly understands his mission (pun intended) is make films for the audience, movie goers. He respects us, by delivering a story line which builds on previous IMF film stories, however, also looks to introduce new audiences to the IMF franchise. The Final Reckoning avoids comical behavior of its characters. The Entity is a "villian" with no equal, & is looking to anahilate humanity. It would be insulting to the audience to show such a topic as funny. The franchise has been built over a 30yr span. It is important to provide a new movie goer (younger than 40) with reasons to return to the theater and want to see this film. IMO this film is 8 of 10☆ excellent. It achieves a balance of action, drama, humor, surprises, and leaves the door open for a possible new mission with new .
