See AllThe Witcher Season 4's Geralt & Ciri Change Will Make It Harder For Season 5 To Nail The Show's Most Important Dynamic
Couldn't disagree more the books are great although you can sometimes tell they are a translation to English. All the show had Todo was remain faithful to the books and adapt, roughly one book per season. There should have been two seasons of adopting the short stories with some extra stuff added like the first season to get it all to flow and connect, a flashback or two to help cover the stories. Then season 3 should have covered blood of elves, maybe with abit of extra story added in as that book is a little bit uneventful as I recall? (But not what they did to the witchers in season 2 wtf). They could have given us some backstory on the Witchers. And from there each season should have been one book, maybe even half a book for the latter books where alot more occurs.

*she it wasn't the director that was the issue it was the showrunner and writers she hired. She even fired writers that liked the source material and wanted to stick to it. Reportedly most of the writers actively hated or had complete disdain for the source material.
I've Just Worked Out What The Daredevil: Born Again Episode 4 Title Actually Means & I'm So Annoyed It Took Me This Long
I thought this was obvious. At any rate it's great acting and writing that help to emphasise this. What I will say is that whilst I felt bad for Matt's client about how the system has screwed him. I couldn't help but also think that well .... Ultimately if he hadn't done whatever he did to get the 30 day imprisonment when he still was getting his benefits, he wouldn't have missed the appointment and nothing would have been cut. There is a lack of personal responsibility so showing here too.
