Great production, acting was fair by most of the cast but the real problem is the story's last act and how it resolves itself.

Not a masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination, but definitely watchable

A great re-imagining of a classic tale, that somehow manages to add elements to the story that improve the older movies when you look back on them. Egger's vision is impeccable as always.

I honestly wish Screenrant would stop reviewing old movies, it is honestly just click-bait... and here i am

Daniel Craig does a great job with internally complex character, but Luca's directive vision along with the soundtrack by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross frame this story so well. The issue with the movie is the last act, it never really resolves itself and what we end up with is more of a snapshot of a character arc as opposed to a full scenario. I would definately recommend though.

Good casting, Great sets and great source material / lyrics should lead to a slam-dunk, but at some point the narrative gets sideways, almost as if they are trying to set too much up in this installment.

A campy version of knives out with 90% of the cast is playing a caricature of your usual suspects in a murder-mystery. Each episode is based around a new character that could easily be the antagonist which leads to plot holes in the timeline which makes the last reveal just not land correctly. Giancarlo Esposito, Julieth Restrepo & Mel Rodriguez are standouts in this "who-done-it" that is entertaining at least but tiresome at times

Season 2 suffered from the problem of Ellie's character being central to the story and it really needed to land so that the plot can progress correctly. The direction that was taken with Bella was not a good one, in that they have held onto the teenage angst way too long. What we end up with is a character that is majorly undercooked and bratty with no sense of responsibility. This is shown time and time again throughout the season to the point that you cannot sympathize with Ellie at all. The character of Abby also suffers from a different problem, in that she is not menacing in any way, physically or psychologically.
