See AllCaptain America: Brave New World Is Marvel's Failed Attempt At Recreating The MCU's Best Movie
The story felt rushed, and poorly written leaving the dialog subpar and flat. Big example at the end when Sam tries to explain all the reasons why Ross is in a cell and what he did all in one sentence. On top of that, the CG was horrendous, especially during the ocean and sky battle scenes. And the fights were not believable, especially given that Sam has no super-human abilities himself. When did he become a fighting expert? And now all of sudden he can throw, kick and manipulate the shield the same way a super soldier did? Come on! Too much of the story was left unexplained. And none of it felt serious or urgent. The inclusion of military at any point of the story was amateurish and obvious that the writers and director had no knowledge of how the military operates. They really should have used experienced advisers. I like Anthony Mackie, but this wasn't a good movie for him. Winter Soldier was and still is one of the best, it had everything this one didn't; compelling and edge of your seat story and action sequences that felt realistic and plausible in respects to the characters abilities. The CG was fantastic and everything was well thought out and left little to question. Marvel still has a long way to go to figuring back out.
