I love Chicago one! However, Chicago PD has fallen off significantly. It started to go downhill after they killed Olensky off. That was the WORST mistake. He was Voight's best friend and his voice of reason. Yet, he was still very loyal and ive of Voight. Voight has since connected with other PD detectives in his unit but there was no greater connection than his and Olensky's. Also, I LOVE Atwater, Ruzick, and Kim...however, the newcomers including Upton was NEVER able to compare to Erin, Antonio, and Jay. The original crew Voight, Olenski, Erin, Antonio, Jay, Atwater, Kim, and Ruzick was a force to be reckoned with. They truly need some new faces. They need 8 detectives in the unit as they had before and it needs to be strong detectives that xan capture the audience attention and form that bond in their hearts as the original cast did. It would be so nice if they brought Erin and Antonio back or at least 1 or the other in addition to new . I know Jay isn't coming back, at least anytime soon because he just left. Haley was okay, but she was operated. She got on my nerves sometimes. She was a goody two shoes and Debbie downer at times. Voight needs a right hand, a confidant like Olensky was to him and someone closer to his age that knows him from his past bit willing to ride or die with him. I like the no nonsense Voight better than the more by the book Voight. Even when he did things not so by the book, he did it to protect his people or for the greater good of the community. He wasn't just walking around doing things to good Samaritans. Whatever he had to do by pulling strings...he did it out of necessity always. I just want to see new faces in addition to the last 6 standing at least 3 new faces but young and energetic. Not someone that can't run or fight. It needs to be someone with a backbone. Or run Antonio or Erin back. Better yet both would be a treat lol! I hope this season is redemption because I know they have lost some viewers.

I have been a fan of Chicago PD since day 1. It was one of my favorite shows since Law and order Svu. I don't think Petrovic will be a good fit for intelligence. She seems like a good detective bit not the best fit for Voight's team. I wish they would take Chicago PD back to the way it was in the earlier 1st seasons. I wish Erin would come back and Antonio is also a great option. Sadly, Olinsky NEVER should gave been killed off the show, it should have been an opening left in case he ever wanted to return. It hasn't been the sane since Olinsky left. He was Hank's right hand and very loyal to the core and he was his voice of reason when he wasn't reasoning. The ensemble is TOO small therefore making the show not as interesting to watch anymore. It went downhill the last 3-4 seasons. Not enough interesting material at all. They should give Hank a love interest as well as Atwater. Kim and Ruzic should have a wedding. They need to have more scenes with Trudy how they use to when Kim and Atwater were street cops. They should have Trudy over the street cops and as a mentor. She made Atwater and Kim who they ate on the show. They have so much respect for her. They really need to consider going back to the 1st few seasons of Chicago PD to get some ideas and more interesting material. And, I like that Hank has gotten himself together, but it was more interesting when he drew pitside the lunes at times depending on if it meant to help someone that meant something to him. He loves his team and will do anything for them. I love that about Hank. Let's get the Hank that runs investigations off book sometimes and the one that uses the cage with no limits and all the connections. Let's make season 12 the rebirth of the earlier material and make it a better one. Hopefully, the fans opinions will be read and considered.
