Sorry but this is terrible journalism. The new series has never been "officially announced", it was a bunch of articles based on something cast said at cons and on livestreams. No official source - neither Dave nor Grant Naylor Productions - ever confirmed it.

Thus, it can't be cancelled because *it was never announced*.
