And after they gave you his history and the fact he know who superman is was great cause that created a whole new dynamic to how superman had to proceed against him. The fact that he had kids and a wife drove the story ever forward. The lex luther was awesome it showed he had a reason to hate superman not just because he had powers. But he in his own delusional way hated superman cause he took him away from his daughter. I think out of justice league, smallville, Christopher reevse, superman 1234, loise and clark, superman returns, this was a more true to life version of lex luther.
