My Threads(1049)

I'm convinced the next James Bond frontrunner is perfect for the 007 Reboot and Guy Ritchie's Netflix series proves it.

Theo James, known for projects like the Divergent movie franchise and The White Lotus, has become one of the favorite candidates to take over the role of James Bond for the 007 franchise reboot. I would love to see that happen, as the actor has shown in Guy Ritchie's The Gentlemen series on Netflix that he has what it takes to provide the same kind of mysterious and charismatic performance most of the beloved versions of James Bond are known for. Theo James' James Bond could be as serious or lighter as the franchise needs, offering a layered performance.

Is Marvel's Wolverine game ever coming out?

Marvel's Wolverine was revealed by Insomniac Games all the way back in September 2021. Due to the major hack that the company faced and all the details from the game that leaked, including footage, concept art, character reveals, and more, we haven't had any solid information on the game in quite some time. At the moment, I'm having a hard time believing Marvel's Wolverine will ever come out, especially with other superhero games like Monolith's Wonder Woman and Cliffhanger Games' Black Panther getting scrapped. It's just not looking great for now.

I agree with Dakota Johnson that Madame Web's box office failure was not her fault.

Madame Web's box office sits at $100.5 million, which is terrible for a superhero movie. While Dakota Johnson's performance as Cassandra Webb was not particularly exciting, I don't blame her for the movie's failure. Recently, the actress talked to the Los Angeles Times about the film's issues, revealing that Madame Web started as a completely different project but was changed by decisions made by "people who don’t have a creative bone in their body." Johnson also claimed its failure wasn't her fault. Madame Web's most glaring issues were its story and dialogue, which were boring and convoluted, not the cast.

Netflix's Sirens is made better by how different Milly Alcock's Simone is from House of the Dragon's Rhaenyra Targaryen.

I recently watched Netflix's new hit miniseries, Sirens. Milly Alcock was perfect in the show, and I loved just how different her role as Simone was from her breakout Rhaenyra Targaryen performance in House of the Dragon. Instead of being the rebellious leader she was seen in the HBO series, Alcock's new character was a pile of insecurities. However, to the outside world, she projected the same fierce exterior as Rhaenyra to others, so it allowed Alcock to tap into her most famous role while also exploring a completely new side of her acting skills.

I'm okay with Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning's box office no longer being on pace to break a franchise record.

After a record opening weekend, Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning was on track to become the Tom Cruise action franchise's highest-grossing movie at the domestic box office. However, the film is now pacing behind Mission: Impossible - Fallout, the franchise's best domestic performer. I feel that is right, as Fallout is the Mission: Impossible movie I consider to be the best, and The Final Reckoning is doing very well on its own. Ultimately, Tom Cruise's action franchise is almost always a strong box office performer.

Will Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom appear in The Fantastic Four: First Steps despite the MCU director's comments?

The Fantastic Four: First Steps director Matt Shakman has shot down the chances of Robert Downey Jr. appearing in the movie, saying, "Doom is not a part of my film, and therefore not a part of my purview." Despite the director's blunt comments, I remain confident that the character will be in the film. Shakman's words leave room for Doctor Doom to appear in The Fantastic Four: First Steps' post-credits scene like he was rumored to, since it would not be in the movie itself.

Was James Gunn cutting a Guardians of the Galaxy member what made the MCU trilogy work?

Richard Rider, aka Nova, has been part of the Guardians of the Galaxy in the comics. Despite the MCU having explored the idea of bringing the character to live-action and James Gunn's original Guardians of the Galaxy movie having featured the Nova Corps prominently, the director never included Rider because he felt there should be only one human on the team, Chris Pratt's Star-Lord. I would have loved to see Nova in the MCU, but I agree with Gunn, as every member of the team being unique played out for the best. Nova would have taken focus away from Star-Lord.

Should Tom Cruise and Keanu Reeves star in a movie together after Cruise's recent comments about the John Wick star?

Tom Cruise recently praised Keanu Reeves and revealed how he often calls him to talk about the big movies the actor has been making. I have long wanted to see the duo team up on the big screen in an action flick that can use the stars' ability when it comes to stunts to the fullest. While I can't imagine Tom Cruise coming into the world of the John Wick movies, a new franchise that spotlights Cruise and Reeves' charm and action skills could come in the future.

Will Fountain of Youth 2 happen with John Krasinski and Natalie Portman?

At the moment, Apple TV+ has yet to announce a sequel for Fountain of Youth. However, the Guy Ritchie movie debuted at number 1 on the platform in 99 countries, according to a recent report. Stars John Krasinski and Natalie Portman have revealed that they would love to come back for more if audiences want it. While I have a couple of issues with the film, particularly its ending, I felt Fountain of Youth as a whole was delightful and could be the start of an adventure franchise for the streamer. If numbers hold, a sequel should happen.

What is Supernatural's funniest episode?

Supernatural has had its fair share of hilarious episodes over 15 seasons. That said, three pop to mind when I think about the funniest of the show's run. These are: "Mystery Spot," which was Supernatural's take on Groundhog Day, where Dean kept dying at the end of every day; "The French Mistake," where Sam and Dean came to the real world; and "Scoobynatural," which was Supernatural's animated crossover special with Scooby-Doo.

I'm disappointed the Fantastic Four's most underrated character is likely not in their MCU debut.

I think Valeria Richards is the most underrated Fantastic Four character in the comics, so I would love to see her in the MCU. That said, I can't see it happening in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. After all, Reed Richards and Sue Storm's older child, Franklin Richards, will be born throughout the film. With Galactus, the Silver Surfer, Franklin, the whole team, and more to set up, I think there will not be enough time to drop teases that Valeria will one day come to the MCU. That said, I would love to be wrong.

Could Thunderbolts* 2 happen after the MCU movie's poor box office?

Thunderbolts*'s box office is currently at $369.5 million. While that is double the MCU movie's budget, the film needs to perform somewhere in the $360-$450 million range to break even. Thunderbolts* is unlikely to get to the high end of the projections, and even if the movie does break even or turn a small profit, Thunderbolts* is one of the MCU's biggest box office bombs. Still, I believe Thunderbolts* 2 could happen. They are now the New Avengers and will play a key role in Avengers: Doomsday & Secret Wars. That could boost their popularity, leading to a successful sequel.

I know how the Hulk would be perfect for a street-level Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

The latest Spider-Man: Brand New Day rumors claim that not only will Mark Ruffalo appear in the movie, but the Hulk will be one of its villains. If that were to be accurate, then I know the perfect way for how it could work in the street-level setting the MCU seems to be going for with the film. The next Spider-Man movie could be about a gang war, with the Hulk turning into his Joe Fixit persona from the comics, perhaps after being influenced by the film's true main villain. I hope we get official story details soon.

Is The Fantastic Four: First Steps introducing the MCU's most powerful hero so he can have a key role in Avengers: Secret Wars?

Reed Richards and Sue Storm's son, Franklin Richards, will make his MCU debut in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Franklin's powers to warp reality should put him as the most powerful hero in the MCU. In the comics, he is one of the characters who help recreate the multiverse at the end of Secret Wars. I feel like the timing of Franklin's debut means he will have to play that role in 2027's Avengers: Secret Wars, which means we will likely see Franklin age up in the MCU quite fast.

I want to see Nightwing and Spider-Man together in DC and Marvel's new comic book crossovers.

Marvel and DC have announced a new comic book crossover with Batman and Deadpool. The backup stories on those two one-shots will include several crossovers between the "Big Two" publishers, and I hope one of them is between Spider-Man and Nightwing. Peter Parker and Dick Grayson have very similar personalities, being looked up by other heroes, cracking jokes under pressure, fighting with an acrobatic style, and many more. I think they would be best friends if they were from the same universe, so seeing Spider-Man and Nightwing together would be epic.

Would John Krasinski have been a better Nathan Drake than Tom Holland in the Uncharted movie?

While I understand that they tried to go younger with the whole Uncharted franchise in Tom Holland's movie, I felt like that did not work as well as the games. After watching John Krasinski on Apple TV+'s new adventure film, Fountain of Youth, I realized how perfect he would have been as the older Nathan Drake. Krasinski not only looked perfect for the part in the film, but brought the same charisma and sarcasm that Nathan is known for. That said, I feel like Tom Holland's Uncharted sequel could improve on the first.

What is the most disappointing scrapped Marvel or DC superhero game in recent years?

Three major Marvel and DC games have been canceled in the past few years. On the DC side, it was Wonder Woman. On Marvel's, the most recent scrapped game was the Black Panther game that had been in development at Cliffhanger Games, and Spider-Man: The Great Web, which was an online multiplayer entry to Insomniac's Spider-Man franchise. While I feel like there was a lot of potential for Spider-Man: The Great Web, the biggest disappointment to me was Wonder Woman's cancellation, as she deserves a bigger role in media, and the Nemesis System made the game quite promising.

Is Rick Grimes a good guy in The Walking Dead universe after everything he has done?

Andrew Lincoln's Rick Grimes is The Walking Dead franchise's main character. He started as a good man trying to understand how the world completely changed while he was in a coma. Through the years, we have seen Rick make some divisive choices and kill quite a few people, sometimes in cold blood. While I can understand how Rick has morphed more into anti-hero territory as the franchise evolved, I don't think he ever stopped being a good guy. Rick always puts the survival of the group above himself and helps whoever he can, so he remains a hero to me.

Is James Gunn's latest DCU Wonder Woman tease connected to a new solo movie?

James Gunn recently said that things were moving forward on the Wonder Woman side of the DCU, calling it "encouraging," but he claimed that updates on the hero's status were not yet ready to be made public. While I could see how his words could still ring true if Gunn was talking about Wonder Woman being in another hero's DCU movie or a Justice League film, I feel like he has to be talking about a new Wonder Woman solo movie. After all, Batman and Superman have their films announced, so DC Trinity only needs Wonder Woman's to be completed.

Does Daredevil: Born Again's new viewership report put the MCU series' future at risk?

All 9 episodes of Daredevil: Born Again season 1 failed to track on the Nielsen viewership charts. Now, it has been revealed that on Nielsen's 100 Most-Watched Series of 2024-2025, Daredevil: Born Again was only the 92nd, with Agatha All Along, which will not return for season 2, ranking quite higher, standing at 45th. If Daredevil: Born Again does not get more viewers, with factors like Jessica Jones' MCU return helping in that regard, then I'm afraid the MCU will not bring it back for season 3 and beyond, which would be a shame.
