I think WoT is just a really awkward property to adapt. Unless you have an astronomical budget, you will have to carve so much out of it that it basically turns into an outline of the story or you twist it completely out of shape and tell a different story and just keep the name. On top of that, the leads are all going to be young so it’s going to be hard to drive it forward with star-power. (Rosmund Pike is really good, but part of the problem has been making Morraine a lead character simply because she’s the most famous cast member.)

I think animation is the best hope for an adaptation.

It’s probably the best looking of the sequels but god it’s boring. Spending 45 minutes to send Finn on a fetch quest that has zero effect on the outcome of the film, in a movie that is already too long, is one of the worst decisions I’ve seen.

I generally like Daisy Ridley's performance. I just can't get past the way they seem to think "strong female" has to be represented as some kind of perfection goddess. For Pete's sake, most versions of Superman have more flaws than Rey.
