Music is subjective, so it's always entertaining to read the extremely strong decisive reactions people have in comment threads like this. There is no right or wrong, there is only your opinion.

That said, my opinion, as a 59-year-old U2 fan since they started, is that How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb is their best album. That is pure opinion and probably few people agree with it. That's fine. Joshua Tree is number two for me. Even though Dismantle seems overlooked generally, it was still surprising to see it at number 14. Hey, opinions very. YMMV.
