Erika Jayne may not be the only The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star in hot water, as newly-surfaced financial documents reveal that Dorit Kemsley and husband Paul “PK” Kemsley owe more than $1.3 in unpaid taxes. The couple's combined debts date back to at least 2015.
The 45-year-old RHOBH star is certainly not the first housewife to find herself in a highly-publicized financial entanglement. In 2011, former landed in a legal nightmare after news broke of her estranged husband's alleged decades-long habit of embezzling money from wrongdoing victims his legal firm represented.
As reported in full glam and a gauche designer getup, individually owes a reported $90,269 to the State of California, according to a tax lien dated March 2021. In total, the couple appears to owe a hefty amount of $1,308,803.
However, the financial woes involving this Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star might not end there. After putting their palatial Encino mansion on the market last September for $9.5 million, the couple has lowered the property's asking price by a substantial $1.5 million. Desperate to sell, the pair also reportedly adjusted their to accept renters. Dorit and PK have been involved in a string of financial lawsuits over the years. In 2019, a collection agency filed a suit alleging that the British businessman owed a sports gambling firm $75,000. In May of the same year, the couple also settled a lawsuit with the Bellagio hotel, first filed in 2013, regarding PK’s failure to repay a $3.6 million casino marker.
Scandal and intrigue are typical things that fuel the flames of the Real Housewives franchise. The new season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which is currently airing, focuses heavily on the fallout of Erika Jayne’s legal woes and whether or not she was aware of her husband's wrongdoings. If PK and Dorit aren’t careful, they may be at risk of saying ciao!to their fortunes as well.
