Just days before The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City celeb Jen Shah was supposed to report for her prison sentence, fans learned that she branded herself with a new tattoo. The mother of two has been lying low since her January 6 court date revealed her fate. Now, Jen is preparing for a life behind bars. Her sentence will start tomorrow, on Feb. 17.
In January, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City's Jen star was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison, after pleading guilty to felony fraud and money laundering charges. At the trial, multiple witnesses spoke out about how her scheme had hurt them. Around the same time, one of the witnesses accused Jen of having an affair with her husband. Jen allegedly harassed and stalked the man's wife, after the spouse showed text messages to Coach Sharrieff Shah.
RHOSLC's Jen Explains Her Tattoo's Meaning
The RHOSLC star is due to report to jail soon, but before she leaves, the fashionista shared that she will be wearing a new accessory. It appears that Jen decided to have her husband and sons (Sharrieff Jr, and Omar) names tattooed on the inside of her right arm. Omar, Jen's youngest son, got the Hawaiian term for a child, "Keiki," inked on his left forearm. Jen and Omar's tattoos were done by Vili Ngata, who is known for his skillful Pacific Island tribal tattoos.
RHOSLC's Jen Shah & Omar Were In Good Spirits
In Jen's Instagram Story, she also wrote a little explanation for both works of art. The first one that Omar sported was dedicated to her, "unconditional" love as a mother. The RHOSLC star shared that she wanted to thank her children, and would always love them. The second slide, which showed her arm with the three names, had some text. Future convict Jen had written that her husband and children were her, "everything." The tattoo artist Vili works at Xodus Tattoos in Jordan, Utah, which is known for its collective of Polynesian-based artists. These talented tattoo artists have mastered many styles.
How Will RHOSLC's Jen Shah Do Behind Bars
As fans know, Jen is due to turn herself in tomorrow. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star has asked to be sent to FPC Bryan, a minimum-security camp for women in Texas, but her facility has yet to be confirmed. The earliest Jen can be released is 2028, since federal inmates have the ability to earn 54 days of "good time credit" a year. It is quite possible that Jen will serve less than six years. While it has been a "Shahmazing" ride for the reality TV star, it looks like her misdeeds have finally caught up with her. However, her new tattoo will always remind her of home.
