The remake of Resident Evil 4 provides developers the opportunity to adjust the game to make up for the shortcomings of the original. Despite being a fan favorite, the original Resident Evil 4 was not without its flaws. Resident Evil 4 Remake Could Give More Depth To Saddler

Osmund Saddler is fought multiple times in RE4, and his boss fight can seem underwhelming given his importance in the overall story. The lack of information about Saddler gives him an air of mystery, but the Resident Evil 4 remake could emphasize his role in reviving the Las Plagas virus and show more of how he manipulated Salazar into allowing him to access the sealed virus. Saddler's charisma alone played a large role in his ability to win over Salazar and lead the Los Illuminados, but those traits don't seem to be properly displayed in the game.

Saddler Could Feel Like A True Villain In Resident Evil 4 Remake

With the reimagined story of Resident Evil 4 Remake and its darker tones, Saddler's work could have a bigger role considering that he's the reason so many people are infected with Las Plagas. Saddler not only infected countless people, but he also chose who was suitable to have the strains of Las Plagas that allowed them to maintain the ability of high functioning thought, setting them apart from the others who became mindless followers of him. Saddler infected himself with the Master Plaga to control those infected with other strains, and although he ended up being stopped by Leon, his plan to take over the world was better thought-out than the plans of villains in RE5 and RE6.

Saddler plays a large role in Resident Evil 4, but his motivations and backstory seem nearly nonexistent. Resident Evil 4 Remake can improve boss battles and flesh out the backgrounds of its villains to make them feel more like the threats to humanity that they're supposed to be. With a remake, there's an opportunity to make Saddler into an intriguing villain who uses his charisma and cunning to lay the foundation of his plans in Resident Evil 4.
