According to a new report, Capcom is planning to make some rather significant changes in the unannounced expecting a Resident Evil 4 Remake for a while following the big success of the last few remakes, Capcom is being coy about it. Rumors have been swirling for years about what shape this remake would take, but only vague and general descriptions have been offered up.

It seems as though Resident Evil 4 Remake is happening and it will do more than just modernize the gaming classic. Capcom has had some grand ambitions for the game for some time, which isn't surprising. Resident Evil 4 is one of the most beloved games of all time and it has been remastered countless times over the years. It's very easy for someone to just play the original version on a modern console or even play the new VR version, so there needs to be more of an incentive for people to pick this up than better graphics.

Resident Evil 4's cut content is a pretty notorious treasure trove. Enemies, levels, and more were all scrapped from the game and it's all well documented as some of it was used in previews of the game. The game had a much more supernatural story and dealt with ghostly enemies, but a lot of it was left on the cutting room floor. In theory, this remake could give fans the Resident Evil 4 they never got. Whether that's for the better is a mystery, as people like the original game a lot.

Nonetheless, all kinds of Resident Evil 4 Remake teases have been popping up over the last few months. A reveal seems imminent and Capcom usually releases these games rather quickly after announcing them. If it gets revealed sometime soon, Resident Evil 4 Remake could be on shelves this fall. A new twist on a classic game is certainly an interesting approach to a remake, but it could mess with the formula fans love so much.
