Samurai Edge -AW Model 01

Samurai Edge AW Model 01 from Resident Evil Village.

Each weapon has its perks as well as its faults. There's never a perfect gun, as all of them have flaws. And one good thing about the Samurai Edge is the power it has behind it.

While the trusty starter weapon to help players survive the first section of this popular horror game, the LEMI is a great weapon. But the Samurai Edge has more power, making it a bit more effective. The LEMI, while useful, only has a power amount of 100. But once the player obtains the Samurai Edge, they are more apt to use it due to its power of 110. However, the major downside to this weapon is that it is only obtainable as part of a DLC.

V61 Custom

V61 Custom model in Resident Evil Village

With upgrades that give it a good boost, the V61 Custom can be a great weapon of choice. And luckily, the player can obtain it at the Duke's shop in Heisenberg's factory.

This gun has three customizable parts that help increase its already 200 power amount, decrease the recoil, and increase the ammo capacity. So if the player does not want to purchase the DLC, the next best weapon to pick up is the V61 Custom. It's an excellent choice for players and is also fun to use!

USM-AI

USM-AI model from Resident Evil Village.

With a power amount of 217, the USM-AI is a great choice for players to grab when needing to shoot down enemies. But there is a downside that may deter players.

While it's a good weapon, the player can only obtain it after beating the game the first time. The player will have to purchase it using 20000 and then purchase it again through the Duke's shop. Or, players can enjoy the moment of using the weapon through one of the fan-favorite Resident Evil characters, Chris Redfield, after defeating Heisenberg. It all depends on whether or not the player is satisfied by playing the role of Chris, which isn't for very long, or is willing to play the game a second time.

Dragoon

Dragoon Model from Resident Evil Village.

The Dragoon is a fun weapon to use against Lycans. And with its power amount of 350 and its ammo capacity of 30, it's a tempting choice, but there is a slight issue if the player wants this weapon.

Like the USM-AI, it can only be obtained after beating the game and purchasing it for 30,000 . F2 Rifle

Resident Evil Village's F2 Rifle.

Enjoy scoping out enemies and getting headshots from a distance? A good rifle is needed for such an occasion. Using the F2 Rifle is excellent for a long-distance headshot. To obtain this weapon, the player must go up into the attic above the atelier in the castle belonging to the urban legend-inspired game character, Lady Dimitrescu.

And while this weapon has a power amount of 600, the reload time is slow, putting its reload rate at a 2. Upgrades are great for the weapons obtained by the player, but to make sure the player gets the best use of the F2 Rifle it's highly recommended to get the upgrades as soon as possible to up the reload speed.

W870 TAC

W870 TAC model shotgun from Resident Evil Village.

While it's not the best shotgun available, it's still a valuable gun that can and should be used. And with the amount of power it has behind at a 760, it's worth investing in.

To get this shotgun, the player will have to travel to a small house in the garden that leads to House Beneviento. The W870 TAC can be easily upgraded during the story, and it's a great gun to keep handy. One thing that is recommended to players is to have them attach the gunstock and the foregrip to help decrease the amount of recoil and increase the firing rate. It's also very important to avoid any bad survival game habits and not overlook shotgun ammo.

GM 79

GM 79 model from Resident Evil Village.

Getting surrounded by a horde of enemies and don't want to waste a lot of ammo? The GM 79 is here to help. With the power amount set at 1200, the GM 79 is a grenade launcher that is a great weapon to have on hand.

For the players to get their hands on this powerful weapon, they will need to get inside a small room to the north of East Old Town marked as the Waterwheel Weapon. While it is powerful, it has a slow reload time, and it is recommended for players to reload after they fire it and not after realizing it's empty.

SYG-12

Resident Evil Village SYG-12 model.

Shotguns are a must-have in any Resident Evil game due to the power they have behind them. And having a semi-automatic shotgun in RE8 can be a lot of fun.

The SYG-12 is a great shotgun with a power amount of 1600 obtained after entering Heisenberg's factory from the Duke's store. Its also very useful against the Soldat Eins, Soldat Zwei, and Haulers when taking out the heads or red pieces. The downside to this weapon is the reload time, and even upgrades don't help it all that much. So to make good use of this weapon, players should put some distance between them and the enemy they are facing.

S.T.A.K.E

Resident Evil Village S.T.A.K.E model.

A weapon with a total power amount of 2000 is a must-have. However, while it's a great weapon, a particular downside can affect whether or not the player wants it.

The S.T.A.K.E has a decent reload time and has a good firing rate behind it. It's a great gun to add to Ethan's arsenal, and it delivers an amount of power that can throw the enemies back and keep them down. Bosses just take a bit more time to down than their minions, as is the law of video games. But when it comes to obtaining it, the player needs to finish the game first and then get it from the Duke's store before entering Castle Dimitrescu.
